About Scott Sanford

Scott Sanford, a licensed broker, brings a level of customer service to the real estate process that is often lacking and misunderstood. For those who know Scott, his transition to real estate after 25 years with LL Bean, one of the world’s preeminent retailers, was a natural progression. Scott has experienced much of what Maine is truly about. Whether you are a buyer or a seller allow him to open the door to all that his state has to offer.

A highly skilled manager with global vision, Scott learned foremost to listen, then react to customer/client needs. Whether a buyer or a seller, Scott respects the diverse individual needs of each client.

Committed to his community and state, Scott, his wife, Nonie, and 4 children were born, grew up and still live in Falmouth. Scott maintains professional relationships with a network of community leaders, friends and contacts garnered from his past business experience, and his local work as a substitute teacher and sports coach within the school system. Scott draws on this network to provide personal services to his clients ranging from mortgage referrals to moving companies, insurance and all those other incidentals.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Scott has experienced Maine as he skied its’ mountains and back country, fly-fished wilderness streams and canoed pristine rivers and lakes. From a home in the Greater Portland area, to a cottage on the shores of a Maine lake, a ski chalet or that long dreamed of coastal retreat overlooking the rockbound Maine coast, Scott will share his extensive knowledge of school systems, community issues and Maine life so that your next purchase or sale will be trouble-free.

…When buying or selling remember that Maine has many great treasures. Make sure you have the right guide!

My Client-First Philosophy

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.

That said, in my experience as a Portland real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.

This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.

So when you decide that you'd like to buy or sell a home in the Greater Portland areas, please contact me.
